With Halloween quickly approaching, we thought it best to wish everyone an early Happy Halloween before all of the craziness begins. Therefore, we here at the Rocky Mountain Care Foundation would like to wish you and yours a very happy and safe Halloween this year!

Evolving from the ancient Celtic holiday of Samhain, modern Halloween has become less about literal ghosts and ghouls and more about costumes and candy. The Celts used the day to mark the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, and also believed that this transition between the seasons was a bridge to the world of the dead.  Over the millennia the holiday transitioned from a somber pagan ritual to a day of merriment, costumes, parades and sweet treats for children and adults.

If you have a few extra minutes between answering the ever-ringing doorbell, watch these videos from History.com- they are all about the history of Halloween and witches!

Our office will be celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 30th, with a “Crazy Train” themed party- decked out with glow-sticks and fishnets galore. We will be sure to post some fun pictures to our social media pages, and please share some of your own with us! We would love to see all of your devil-ish costumes and good times!

Please be safe this Saturday night, and of course, have a very Happy Halloween!
